David Gantt earned his B.A. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in 1978. He graduated from Campbell University School of Law in 1981 and was admitted to the North Carolina bar that same year. He is also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals, 4th Circuit; the U.S. District Court, Western District of North Carolina; the U.S. District Court, Middle District of North Carolina; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit; and the U.S. Supreme Court.
